The Compagnie les orientales en couleur has been directed and lead by Houria Gauzelin since it was created in 2003 . It’s main purpose is to develop and promote the raks sharky bellydance in the city of Reims , in the champagne region , in France or abroad ; its second goal is also to make people of differents communities meet , exchange and discover by organizing concerts, travels, festivals or fashion defiles.
The company is composed of around 40 passionate members among which 25 bellydancers.
Lead by Houria the company has been organizing the “Stars of the orient festival” for 5 years in Reims, France. This event gathering famous international artists such as Aladdin Elkholy, Wael Mansour, Mahdy Emera, Mercedes Nieto, Irina Popova and Alexey Paraschuck is always warmly welcomed by French public ; workshops and the international bellydance contest encounter great success among Houria’s students.
The Colored Oriental Company is regularly invited to partipate to bellydance events , Arabic haflas , shows, festivals all over Europe, Amsterdam, Napoli, Bonn, Venice, Dublin, Greece, Ukrainia……..
